What MensMinimal publishes
MensMinimal publishes practical men’s style guides covering grooming, haircuts, hairstyles, haircare, fashion aesthetics, seasonal fashion and accessories. Articles are written to help a reader make a style decision — for example, choosing a haircut for a face shape or hair type, or choosing accessories that balance an outfit — not to sell a specific product.
How articles are researched
- Each article starts from one clear reader question and one central topic (for example, men’s haircuts, or a single fashion aesthetic).
- Articles cover the attributes that change the decision: hair length, texture, density, face shape, hairline, maintenance, and — for fashion — colour, fit, layering and occasion.
- Where a claim needs an outside source (for example, a health, historical or technical claim), the article links to that exact source near the claim. General style advice that is a matter of taste or practice is presented as advice, not as a sourced fact.
Review and accuracy
- Articles are reviewed for scope before publication: does the title match what the article actually covers, and does each section answer the heading it sits under?
- No article claims a result it cannot support. Words like “can”, “may” and “often” are kept as written — they are not upgraded to “does”, “will” or “always”.
- Where an article gives a comparison (for example, taper vs fade, or pomade vs clay), it states the difference in technique, finish, hold or maintenance, rather than declaring one option universally best.
Updates
- Articles carry a meaningful updated date only when the content has substantively changed. Dates are not refreshed for minor wording edits.
- When a guide is updated, the change is to the advice, examples or links — not a silent rewrite of its scope. If an article’s scope changes, its title is updated to match.
Corrections
- Readers can report an error via the Contact page or at [email protected].
- Verified errors are corrected in the article, with the correction noted where the error was material. Unverified claims are removed rather than defended.
Images
- Images are used only where MensMinimal has a lawful basis to use them: its own images, licensed stock, or AI-generated images created for the article.
- An internal image inventory records the source or licence for each image. AI-generated images are not presented as photographs of real people, products or places.
Commercial independence and affiliate disclosure
- If an article contains affiliate links, that is disclosed at the top of the page, before the recommendations. Affiliate relationships do not change which options are covered or how they are compared.
- If an article contains no affiliate links, no affiliate disclosure is added.
Health and medical boundaries
- Hair-loss, scalp and skin articles give general grooming information only. They do not diagnose a condition and do not recommend a treatment.
- Readers with a medical concern are directed to seek advice from a qualified professional. No author credential in medicine is claimed.
Comments
- Comments on pillar and evergreen pages are moderated or disabled. Spam, unsafe advice and promotional links are removed, and comment links are not treated as endorsements.
AI use
- AI tools may assist with drafting, structuring or checking an article. Every published article is reviewed by a human editor before publication, and the editor remains responsible for its accuracy and scope.
